I still haven’t finished up my posts about my Winter patterns, but I have been so excited to prepare for Easter. My grandmother passed away last year, and I was thinking about how magical her Easter gatherings were. Easter was her favorite holiday, and it was so much fun for my cousins and I. She taught me embroidery and always encouraged me to make embroidered tea towels as gifts for others, so I thought it was fitting to make a tea towel with some of the designs. Since I was feeling nostalgic, I kept in mind the vintage “Aunt Martha” designs or “Vogart” designs I used to make with her. I kept the stitches for these pretty basic, outlining the bunny with a stem stitch, with the exception of the fur lines, which I just used a single stitch. French knots for the tail and satin stitch for the eyes and ears. The flower was satin stitched, with leaf stitch for the leaves, and stem stitch for the stem.
